Kingsfield is primarily a "competition" kennel. We typically only breed pups when we are in search of a new pup for ourselves. As German Spitz breeders and American Eskimo breeders we are breeding for "keepers" to add to our program. We selectively make those breedings to produce what we hope will be our next big winner.
Because we can't keep each pup, we occasionally have pups available to the public. Many of these pups continue on with others to become champions, but we are tickled to death to provide families with a loving companion as well.
Our mission statement, as well as our daily goal:
Thank you for considering a quality pup from Kingsfield !!
All of our pups will be up to date on shots and wormings, and we fully guarantee all of our pups until they are one-year of age.
Because we also test all of our American Eskimos for PRA with Optigen, we can also guarantee that they will never become affected with this horrible condition.
Until a similar test is made available for the German Spitz, we cannot provide such a PRA guarantee for that breed. However, all of our breeding stock is CERF tested and we will offer the DNA of any of our GS for the development of any such test. for the betterment of the breed.
Pictured here is a German Spitz that we were fortunate enough to obtain from another rescue group and finally found him a fabulous forever home. This is Spartan, now known as "Atticus" and his loving companion, Stephene.

In 2009 a group of German Spitz exhibitors and enthusiasts decided that we needed to form a club to help keep this breed going in the right direction here in the United States.
Because the "Kleinspitz" and the "Mittelspitz" had previously been combined by the AKC-FSS into one breed known only as the "German Spitz" we took an active part in working with the United Kennel Club (UKC) in having the breed recognized as a full breed, helped in the creation of the breed standard, and making the breed capable of full registration with the ability to compete for titles.
The members of the German Spitz Association were also instrumental in having the UKC, once again, recognize the two different sizes and thus created the two Varieties of Klein and Mittel.
In December of 2010 "the German Spitz Association" became a UKC registered club and is now fully recognized in that capacity. So needless to say, we're thrilled about that.
